Regular photo to a Professional Photo?
Hi everyone! I wanted to know if you guys could help me, then I could pick you as best answer and you'll then receive 10 points. I wanted to know how I could take a regular photo and turn it into a professional photo using Photoshop or Gimp?

I am going to copy my answer I gave this evening.
Good lighting is important. Either natural light, or artificial light. Survey the area first--if it's not optimal, control it.
Get it in good focus. Autofocus is nice--but it's you who is holding the camera.
Good composition is helpful too. Frame it so you won't have to crop it later.
If it's a portrait--get the subjects to be comfortable with you.
Learn to know your camera. You're the boss--it's merely a tool.
