I listed all my Yahoo 360 friends as"Best Friends" categories. What category should I choose for 360 album?
My yahoo 360 photo album is not showing up on my 360 page. Can you tell me what category to choose for 360 viewers?...friends, best friends, or, if I want to choose another category how do I do that? What could I say as "other category" I have sent out email invitations with album in "public" category and my outside friends could view it but not my 360 friends, so I listed all my 360 friends as "Best Friends". I don't know if my album is showing up on 360 yet although I can see it. One of my 360 friends told me she didn't see it in the "public" category...so I listed 360 friends as "Best Friends". Now what?
As long as your photo album is set to private (i.e. can only e-mail a link to friends/family in photos.yahoo.com) and set the "Share Photo" area to "friends." Then, still only your friends within Yahoo can see the photos. So, don't set the photo album to public in photos.yahoo.com if you want that album to be private.
You can double check if this setup works in 360 by clicking on the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" on your 360 "My Page."
Also, here is what Yahoo says about photo privacy settings:
"We all have them - some photos just aren't meant for the world to see. So permissions are how you can view your photos. There are two settings: "Private" and "Public."
By default, all albums are "Private" and are only viewable by you and those you invite to see your photos by email. When you share photos using email your friends and family will be able to view those photos for a period of 90 days - after which that email invitation will expire. If your friends or family also are Yahoo! users, their accounts will be included in the permissions for those photos or album such that their permission to view those photos will never expire. In this case the permissions icon will show up as "Shared with Friends."
To make an album visible to any guest, change the permissions for the photos or album to "Public." Only the photos or albums you identify as "Public" will be viewable from your Yahoo! Photos web address (http://photos.yahoo.com/youryahooid)."
