They are acid free, magnetic photo albums a good choice to organize and store family photos?
These disks have pages with a sticky bottom and clear plastic overlay. I know in the past, these types of pages used glue that could ruin your photos. Are new (acid) OK to use? If not, what are some other tips to save photos in albums?
Personally, I try to stay away from the magnetic disks as the tail. Not that the adhesive is not acid free. It's just that the tape was ... Well, too sticky. Assuming that comes a time when you want to remove a scan somewhere, might be difficult to remove, almost to the point where he had torn the photos themselves. I've seen it happen when I worked at a laboratory in hours of pictures, it was not pretty. Magnetic album may be improving now ... But personally I'd perfer not to find out. Generally I am a big fan of albums that have actual sleeves of a certain size (usually the 4x6 ones). They may be less versatile with a variety of photo sizes, but the elimination of printing is as easy as sliding out the sleeve. The sleeves are generally free of acid (also called file), by will not do any undue harm to their impressions, too.
