Which camera will give good quality pictures with digital camera?
Hello, I just bought a Ricoh R8 digital camera and I'm disappointed with the image quality. In addition, a minor bump now means that the camera's digital screen does not work and my LCD needs replacement. Due to the disappointing quality (wrong approach, noisy and blurred vision in general) I am thinking of buying another camera (!) instead of fixing the Ricoh and despite looking through Internet can not have a decent idea of the camera that I should look. I am looking for a decent zoom, megapixels reasonable (but not great), lack of noise and most importantly photos clear and sharp. I'm not too fussed if it is a covenant or an advanced camera. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
All point and shoot cameras and have problems with noise at higher ISO settings. If you want a camera with less noise and no shutter lag, you need to go to a DSLR. Being Canon's a girl, I suggest you look at one of the digital rebels (depending on your budget). Note that it is more important to buy the lenses of the best possible way because the bodies come and go but lenses stay with you. How good quality lenses, will make your life much easier in low light situations. If you do not want a digital SLR, I would suggest a Canon S5 IS. By the way, "blurred vision in general and the wrong approach" probably not the fault of the camera as such, but simply a matter of little light that could be overcome by using a tripod and timer.
